tipologia
8mm - HMVITADON-0031
In 1977, Don Vitalini documented a mountaineering excursion to Pizzo Badile and Rifugio Gianetti, in the Rhaetian Alps, on September 12th. The camera films the high mountain landscape with rock faces, sharp peaks, and snowfields under a clear sky, following a group of friends during their descent on snowy slopes. In some shots, a man wears crampons and mountain boots, essential for mountaineering. The film shows the Rifugio Gianetti in Val Masino, a stone building, surrounded by a mule and people walking. Inaugurated in 1913, the hut was used by the Alpine troops during World War I, burned down in 1944 by the Nazi-Fascists, and rebuilt five years later.
