During New Year's 1953, the cinephile Giuseppe Bonvicini documented a winter excursion in the Catinaccio massif, in Val di Fassa, Trentino. The footage shows Lake Antermoia from above, still completely frozen, whose basin had formed during the glaciations due to glacial erosion. Surrounded by majestic rocky walls and Dolomitic peaks, the lake was then a reference point for hikers and mountaineers.
