In 1967, amateur filmmaker Danilo Dominici films his holiday in Calabria, capturing his wife near Lake Arvo. She picks flowers and runs smiling across the meadows, with the lake framed by conifer forests in the background. For a brief moment, they seem to exchange the camera: Dominici appears on screen, depicted within the same serene setting he films. Lake Arvo, situated at 1,280 meters in the heart of Sila National Park, is surrounded by the peaks of Botte Donato and Montenero.
