Pippo Barzizza films convivial moments in the winter of 1951 at Cervinia, at the foot of the majestic Matterhorn in the Pennine Alps. Two men and two women, including Nino Amati and Tatina Salesi, wave toward the camera as a panoramic view opens on the surrounding snow-covered peaks and the typical landscapes of the Valtournenche valley. Isa Barzizza poses in front of the camera. The footage follows the ascending cable car, showing the intersection of two cabins and offering spectacular views of the mountains and snow-laden trees. Inside a mountain building, Tatina Salesi, with a leg in a cast, chats with two friends, while the filmmaker alternates shots of the architectural details of the building with views of the peaks and the surrounding snow.
