The "Schola Armaturarum" in Pompeii likely was a building used by a military association - and, when this film was shot, it had been dug out from by not even twenty years. However its story was doomed to travail: the Second World War bombing destroyed some areas; then the irregular restoration soon after; finally, a second collapse, in 2010. The structure was reopened to the public in 2019, after another restoration cicle started in 2016.
