In 1978, Ugo Sammartino filmed a walk near Lake Fedaia, at the foot of the Marmolada, in the territory of Canazei. The sequence shows the green slopes and torrents descending from the massif, along with the profiles of Gran Vernel and the surrounding peaks. The camera lingers on the details of the alpine vegetation: flowers, meadows, and woods. A close-up captures two butterflies resting on a rock, while other shots convey the tranquil atmosphere of the Dolomite landscape.
