tipologia
8mm - HMFANTFAM-0006
In August 1971, Mario Fantin ventured with friends among the high peaks of the Dolomites, completing an excursion on Sass de Stria (2,477 m), between Passo Falzarego and Passo Valparola. The sequence opens with the approach along a rocky and scree path, showing the group climbing among rocks and gullies. In the valley background, the Tre Sassi Fort is visible, an important Austro-Hungarian fortification dating back to World War I. Once at the summit, the camera frames the metal summit cross of Sass de Stria, with the surrounding peaks of the Tofane, Lagazuoi, and Sella Group silhouetted in the background.
