In 1957, Enrico Bagni filmed an 8mm sequence set at high altitude, in the Pizzo Palù area. The mountaineers advance on a steep, snowy slope, roped together and equipped with ice axes. The footage then returns to long panoramic shots: a highly exposed snowy ridge, where the rope team proceeds in single file, and wide views of the surrounding valleys and peaks.
