In 1951, Don Artemio Zanni documents the first month-long summer stay of the children from “Casa Nostra” on Monte Cusna, in the province of Reggio Emilia. The sequence shows the Apennine landscape, with mountains shrouded in mist and wind. The children, cheerful and playful, receive their lunch near a wooden hut, immersed in nature and surrounded by outdoor games and laughter.
