In 1950, Don Artemio Zanni films a summer vacation with the children of “Casa Nostra” on Monte Cusna, in the province of Reggio Emilia. The camera follows the children as they wash in the stream with the help of their caregivers, run among the trees, and smile for the camera. “Casa Nostra” was an orphanage and reception center founded in Felina, Reggio Emilia, by Father Don Artemio Zanni in the postwar period to provide a home and family for children orphaned by the war.
