The film opens with an introductory title and follows a group of skiers making their way along a fully snow-covered mountain road, winding through dense conifer forests. The footage alternates between shots of the snow-laden woods and brief views of a vehicle slowly progressing between tall walls of snow lining the roadway. A panoramic shot reveals the Dolomite peaks emerging from a thick layer of fog or low clouds, a typical phenomenon of thermal inversion in alpine valleys. In the central part of the film, several hikers are seen moving along tracks in fresh snow, waist-deep, carrying skis and poles. A second title introduces the final sequence, showing the Pale di San Martino group in the background, framed by two skis planted in the snow.
