In July 1948, the camera of Puccio Posse Ruth, an Argentinian traveler of Italian origin, documented a holiday in the Dolomites, with a probable stay at the Grand Hotel Carezza Residence, a historic building located in Carezza, Nova Levante, South Tyrol, which is filmed at the beginning of the reel.
The camera then focuses on the surrounding landscape: views of the Dolomites, with rocky peaks and conifer forests typical of the Costalunga Pass area. The footage includes the famous Lake Carezza (Lago di Carezza), with its crystalline surface reflecting the mountains and woods, while adults stroll along the path and pause to pose in front of the camera with the body of water as a backdrop.
