Aerial shots of the gulf of Castellammare del Golfo, a town near Trapani whose name is inspired to the gulf itself. The "Castello" (castle) overlooking the coast also inspired the town name. The castle is an Arab-Norman fortification that was once surrounded by the sea, as we can see in the film.
